A dad has celebrated a Father’s Day he will never forget, a top prize winning Instant hot lotto ticket he received as a gift.

The $10,000 winning $1 ticket was purchased online.

Sharing his joy with us this morning, He explained his daughter had gifted him the winning ticket.

“It was a Father’s Day present from my daughter,” he explained.

“ it will be a gift I will never forget!

“I almost threw the ticket away, I didn’t think there was anything on it at first.

“It wasn’t until I got my daughter to double check it that I realised I’d won something.

“I am so glad I didn’t throw it out!”

With an extra $10,000 in his bank account, the winning man knew exactly how he’d enjoy his prize.

“Well, to begin with I am going to buy myself a new car,” he said.

“And I will put the rest away in the bank. It will be a great boost!”
