A dad says he got the surprise of his life when he checked his Hot Lotto ticket yesterday and discovered he was suddenly a millionaire. 
Confirming his win with us this morning, the winner explained he made the life-changing discovery on Sunday morning. 
“Thank you very much,” he said. 
“I am feeling pretty good, actually. 
“I have got to say I got a bit of a shock yesterday when I checked my ticket. 
“Something in the back of my mind was telling me to get online and check my entry. That’s when I got the surprise of my life. 
“I got the ticket on Saturday night, quite last minute, and the rest is history! 
“It was an amazing feeling when I saw that prize on my screen.” 
With more than $1 million about to hit his bank account, the had no doubt he’d be able to enjoy his prize with his wife throughout their retirement. 
“It is certainly going to come in handy,” he declared. 
“We’re both retired and we will be able to really enjoy it throughout our retirement. 
“We will probably look at upgrading the house and helping our children out as well.”
